Audiosurgeon 005: The M. Night Shyamalan Issue

In our fifth issue, we talk about M. Night Shyamalan's distinctive movies, from The Sixth Sense through to Lady in the Water, via Unbreakable and The Village.

On the interview front, I had the opportunity to speak with Bey Logan, the Hong Kong cinema expert, writer, producer and occassional actor, who's worked with Jackie Chan, Tony Jaa, and many other action stars. On a personal level this was very exciting, but I think the interview is pretty interesting whether you're a fan of Hong Kong action cinema or not, so huge thanks to Bey for kindly sparing some time for us.

Jason also caught up with Keith Fulton and Louis Pepe, the directors of Brothers in the Head, a movie with an unusual premise; it's about a pair of conjoined twins who are rock stars.

And things aren't half bad on the musical tip either. We've got exclusives from Kid Koala, Yarah Bravo, the Motorettes, and a whole earful more.

MTV Under the Radar

A couple of posts back I mentioned that I've been spending quite a bit of time at Preloaded lately. Well, the main project I was concentrating on, MTV Under the Radar, has now gone live, and was a lot of fun to work on.

I provided design and art direction for the project, plus a little bit of animation, of course supported by the Preloaded team, so many thanks to them for inviting me to be involved. And be sure to check out the 'Power Dive' game too. It rawks!

Audiosurgeon 004: The Cars and Pixar Issue

After the mammoth 'event' that was Podcast 003, we thought we'd keep things a little more simple this time around, for our own sanity as much as yours. But that didn't stop us from scouring the globe for some great interviews and music though.

Not only did Jason get chance to speak with the funky punky New Young Pony Club, I also found time to chat with Tommy Pallotta, the Producer of Richard Linklater's new movie, A Scanner Darkly. Thanks very much for your time Tommy. And as well as our own discussion about Cars, and the animation institution that is Pixar, I arranged some great tunes, from Alice Russell and DJ Spinna, to Assembly Now, The Gossip, and more...

Audiosurgeon 003: The Superhero Issue

Well thanks to the heatwave, stag weekends, workloads and much more besides, our third AUDIOSURGEON PODCAST is a couple of weeks late. And in the end it was huge we had to split it into two parts. Still, we think you'll enjoy it.

I got chance to interview Alex Phountzi from the mighty Bugz in the Attic, and Jason spoke to Rowan Woods, the director of Little Fish, which is Cate Blanchett's new movie. We discuss Superman Returns, superhero movies in general, and Alex Wiltshire got his hands on a Nintendo Wii. Music-wise, I arranged some choice cuts from Nneka, Bonobo, Aim, Captain, G-Ampere, Ben Parker and more.

And I know there haven't been many updates lately, but I've been spending a lot of time at Preloaded, working on a project for MTV. Will show more when there's more to show, but it's been fun so far...
